Two brothers acquitted of Perch Garage double murders
Two brothers who were serving life sentences for the murders of Carol and Graham Fisher at their filling station near Wadebridge, have been cleared - nearly 20 years after they were jailed for the crimes. Robert and Lee Firkins have always denied the killings in 2003 and there was no physical evidence linking them to the scene. In 2023 they were granted a retrial which was due to take place in January, but yesterday a judge recorded not guilty verdicts after the prosecution said a key witness was no longer able to appear. Devon and Cornwall police say anyone with new information about the deaths should contact them or via Crimestoppers. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Cornwall's Matt Pengelly has the story.
