Langton Herring residents launch campaign to save pub
The local community group Friends of Elm Tree have launched a campaign to raise funds by selling shares in the Langton Herring village pub so they can buy it.
Up to now they have raised half of the £600,000 required.
Once they have raised the money the group plan to open the pub back up as many villagers have missed the pub from a well-being point of view since it's closure in November 2023.
If successful it will join other community interest companies locally already set up as local assets such as village shops and pubs.
