Lee Barnard talks Southend United, Braintree Town & retirement
Retired forward Lee Barnard says former side Southend United must 'set themselves the challenge' of reaching the National League play-offs. The 40-year-old had two stints at Roots Hall, scoring 37 goals in 85 appearances between 2008 and 2010. Barnard also spent the 2016/17 season at Braintree Town - and he says he would like to 'see some investment' into the Iron. Barnard also hinted at a return to football in 2025.
