'Steam and smoke' - recording Poole's last foundry
Forty years ago, photography students from Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design embarked on a project to document the workers and operations of Poole Foundry.
It was the last of the town's iron works and due to be relocated amid growing concern about smoke and noise.
Their photographs can be seen in a free exhibition called 'Men of Iron', curated by Poole Museum, and on display at Lighthouse.
Radio Solent's Steve Harris spoke to one of the original photographers, Steve Orino, alongside exhibition curator Joe Raines.
