'The intrepid side of vintage motoring'
You may well have heard of the London to Brighton veteran car run, but did you know about the Measham Rally?
Organised by the Vintage Sports Car Club the annual event has been going for decades and designed to be an extreme test of car, driver and navigator.
It's not about outright speed, but about following a fiendishly complicated route at a set speed all the way through the night.
The rally moves about different parts of the country but this year it was back in Leicestershire, and for the first time in decades going through the village of Measham where it all started.
It all kicked off from Stonehurst Farm and Motor Museum in Mountsorrel, and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Leicester's Ben Jackson braved the bitterly cold weather to see the ancient old cars line up for the start of the rally.
