The comedian and actor Tony Slattery, who has died aged 65 following a heart attack, was a huge supporter of the Leicester Comedy festival.

Slattery was known for his quick-witted improvisations on the popular Channel 4 show Whose Line Is It Anyway?, from 1988 onwards. The comedian was also one of the original patrons and supporters of the Leicester Comedy Festival, alongside Norman Wisdom and Sean Hughes.

Geoff Rowe, who started the comedy festival while he was a student, told 蜜芽传媒 Leicester's Kelly Hinch how the comedian was very generous with his time.
