Essex Rebels volleyball set for 'special' season
The Essex Rebels volleyball teams are set for a 'special' season, says men's head coach Alex Porter.
The men's team are top of the England Volleyball Super League after nine games, with just one defeat, while the women's team are fourth, contending for the play-offs. Both teams are also in the quarter-finals of the National Cup.
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Essex Sport's Warren Muggleton caught up with Porter, men's middle blocker and England captain Thomas Jefferson, women's head coach Alex Chinery and women's opposite hitter Alexis Diaz-Infante, who moved from Arizona in the United States of America to play for the Rebels.
Ahead of the Nations Unite double-header against Durham Palatinates, they talked success in the campaign so far, ambitions, career highlights, role models and insights into what makes the teams tick.
