Pub shuts after 460 years
A historic pub, which first opened in 1564, has closed. It follows the tenants of the Windmill Inn, in the village of Linton, near Wetherby, deciding to end their involvement. The pub features a hidden cellar reportedly used to store smuggled goods during the 18th Century. It may re-open though if new tenants can be found, and people in the village are interested in taking it over as a community venture. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Leeds’ Olivia Courtney-Ashton went to speak to its patrons.
