Farewell to the Falmouth lifeboat
The RNLI Falmouth lifeboat 'Richard Cox Scott' has been launched for the last time today, heading towards retirement in Dorset.
The Severn class lifeboat has been on station since 2001, in her career she has been called out more than 500 times, assisting more than 700 people and saving 12 lives. The station had been designated a Shannon-class lifeboat, as yet unnamed.
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Seb Noble caught up with Dave Nicholl, deputy Second Coxswain, as Falmouth prepared to bid "Fair Winds and Following Seas" to its old lifeboat.
