Tate Liverpool’s future: Can it come back?
Tate Liverpool’s highly anticipated £30M refurbishment has been hit with a two-year delay, pushing its reopening back significantly.
The gallery, which closed in 2023, moved some exhibits to Mann Island while work began on transforming its Albert Dock home. However, funding challenges have stalled progress, with 25% of the budget still unsecured.
Once completed, the redevelopment promises larger exhibition spaces and stunning views of the Mersey. But with delays mounting, when will Tate Liverpool finally reopen?
