Vinegar Valentines cards you would send to people you did not like anonymously. They were acidic and rude. A collection of these cards can be found at the museum of East Dorset.

They're cards which are part of unsold stock from William Low's stationary and printing shop during the late 18th and early 19th century.

He ran his business in Wimborne High Street which is now the site of the award winning museum.
