Liverpool Museums will receive much-needed cash
Two museums in Liverpool have secured 10 million pounds in government funding to help refurbish them, despite concerns the grant could have been withdrawn.
Projects at the International Slavery Museum and the Maritime Museum, both on the waterfront, were allocated the funding by the previous Conservative government.
However, the new Labour government said it was "minded to withdraw the funding" in the last Autumn Budget.
