'Iconic' Loughborough store to close
After 115 years Loughborough's iconic shop Irish Clothing Company is to close.
The owners said the decision to close had been taken with "great sadness and heavy hearts".
The company started life with a small shop in Silver Street in Leicester which then moved between various locations in the city over the years.
The company's clothing shop, in High Street, Leicester, finally closed in 2018 and was converted into a coffee shop, but the firm continued to trade in Church Gate in Loughborough.

In a recent ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ news article A Treasury spokesperson said: "We delivered a once-in-a-Parliament budget to wipe the slate clean and deliver the stability businesses need, laying the foundations for economic growth. "In addition to capping corporation tax for the duration of parliament, we're permanently cutting business rates for retail, hospitality and leisure on the high street from 2026".
