1,500 runners take part in Leicester 10k event
Thousands of people of all abilities laced up their running shoes for the annual Leicester 10k on Sunday.
Organisers have confirmed that roughly 1,500 people took part in this year's event.
The Jane Tomlinson's Run For All was won by Matt Scarsbrook, who completed it in just 31 minutes and 40 seconds, followed by Harry Robinson and Daniel Hawley.
Erin Willmers was the first woman across the finish line in 36 minutes and 42 seconds, followed by Georgina Weston, and Rosie Mead.
The first wheelchair athlete, Danny Higgins crossed the finish line in 1 hour 3 minutes while Keiran Platt came in second.
