Café Oto: The Dalston music venue receiving Oscars praise
Tucked just behind east London's Dalston Junction Station, Café Oto is - in its own words - a 'home for creative new music that exists outside of the mainstream'.
So it came as a big surprise to co-owner Hamish Dunbar, when he woke up on Monday to find the 150-capacity venue had received a shout out at the Oscars from Daniel Blumberg, the composer of The Brutalist score.
So how did this come about, and what makes this small independent London music venue so special?
