Public inquiry opened into LBA’s night flights
A public inquiry into how the rules about night flights at Leeds Bradford Airport are interpreted has started. LBA has been accused by the Group for Action on Leeds Bradford Airport (or GALBA) of breaking a night flight limit in 2022, 2023 and 2024 by flying hundreds more planes than allowed. The Planning Inspector will hear evidence for four days, but it's likely to be several weeks or months before the final decision is announced. LBA chief executive, Vincent Hodder explains how the rules are outdated.
