Veronica Ash from Leek was stuck on the waiting list at Royal Stoke for over 60 weeks. During that time she had to miss her granddaughters' wedding because she needed surgery. Her daughter Angie says she became a shadow of herself.
Royal Stoke Hospital say hospital waiting lists are prioritised on need and we understand patient's frustrations when there are delays.
They have been liaising with Ms Ash and her family while they fully investigate the issues they've raised and will be in direct contact with the family with their findings.
