Leamington Chess Champ on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Show
In the last few years, one of our oldest board games has had a new lease of life.
First, there was The Queen's Gambit drama on Netflix. Now, after 30 years chess is back on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ with Chess Masters: The Endgame, a brand new show starting on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Two at 8 tonight hosted by Sue Perkins.
It follows 12 rising stars of the UK’s booming chess community, across eight episodes, before one will be crowned Chess Champion.Â
As the players face off over the board, UK Grandmaster and three-time British champion David Howell provides expert commentary, alongside chess coach and former Traitors contestant Anthony Mathurin.
One of those competitors is Deema Khunda from Leamington, she's been speaking to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CWR presenter Vic Minett.
