Four-time F1 world Champion Sebastian Vettel was one of the most outspoken drivers on the grid, promoting his passion for the environment, sustainability and activism for human rights.

Vettel became the youngest Formula One world champion when he took the first of his four consecutive drivers titles in 2010 at the age of 23 years and 134 days.

The German dominated the sport in his Red Bull car before leaving to join the most successful and iconic team on the grid - Ferrari.

Since retiring from the sport in 2022, Vettel has dedicated his time to sustainability projects and uses his platform to promote many environmental and social causes around the world.

Some of his passions include raising awareness for Biodiversity by installing 11 'insect hotels' on the outside of turn two at the Suzuka race circuit in Japan, and building a giant replica helmet of the legendary Ayrton Senna out of reclaimed rubbish ahead of the 2024 Brazilian Grand Prix.

He told Sportsworld's Lee James about why he's optimistic about the future.
