‘PIP ensures that I stay in work’
The UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves’s Spring Statement takes place on 26 March 2025.
Spending cuts are expected across many government departments due to the Chancellor's decision to rule out tax rises. The cuts are necessary because of rising costs associated with working-age people who are out of employment, according to the government.
Disabled people say they're still reeling from plans to cut access to Personal Independent Payments. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Solent’s political reporter Emily Hudson went to meet some of the disabled people affected.
