Cancer charity: ‘We put the fun into fundraising’
PLANETS Cancer Charity was a finalist for the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Solent Make a Difference Fundraiser Award in 2024. The patient-led charity helps cancer patients by raising funds for patient support groups, innovative treatments and research. Since 2011, the charity has raised more than £2.5 million and aims to raise a further £1.5 million over the next five years.
Layla Stephen helps to run PLANET Cancer Charity and is a neuroendocrine cancer patients herself. Layla speaks with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Solent’s Rick Jackson about the charity and their nomination for the Fundraiser Award at the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Solent Make a Difference Awards 2024.

Nominations are open now and close on the 31st March at 5pm.
The winners will be announced at our ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Solent Make a Difference awards ceremony in September.
