Appeals for VE Day street parties
Residents in Coventry who wish to celebrate VE Day with a street party this year can now submit their street party applications for the Bank Holiday week.
People across the country are planning to commemorate the day. This year marks 80 years since World War II ended.
Coventry City Council will waive the cost of the street closure and provide cones and road closure signs for the event for those streets who apply and are successful. Streets will be able to select one day over the Bank Holiday week – 3, 4 and 5 May, or 10 - 11 May. Lorna Bailey spoke to David Keaney, Head of Network Management at Coventry City Council to find out more details.
