Rutland Osprey lays first eggs of the season
An Osprey nesting at Rutland Water has laid the first two eggs of the season.
Maya laid her first egg last week, with a second appearing over the weekend on her nest on Manton Bay.
The nature reserve is home to the Rutland Osprey Project, which aims to create a self-sustaining breeding population.
More than 250 young Ospreys have fledged in the area since the first chick was hatched back in 2001.
Tim Sexton from the Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust spoke to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Leicester's Ady Dayman.
