On Merseyside, music still has a sleeve and a story
It's the one day of the year when almost 300 independent record shops all across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture. Music fans in the UK spent more on recorded music last year than ever before! Vinyl sales shot up, with music lovers spending a total of £2.4-billion in 2024.
We spoke to 'Dead Air Records', based on Suffolk Street in Liverpool city centre, earlier this year after their launching of a podcast to celebrate all things music! Jess Fairclough, co-owner of Dead Air Records, told us how it’s going running a record shop...
