Row over future of Sheffield’s taxis
Sheffield Taxi drivers are frustrated by plans to make signs on their vehicles permanent.
Sheffield City Council say they've consulted on a proposal for front door signage to be made permanent.
They say this is in line with Department for Transport best practice, which states that “Licensing authorities’ private hire vehicle signage requirements should be limited to the authority licence plate or disc and a “pre-booked only” door sign.”
