Dorset villagers long fight for a footpath
Residents who have been campaigning for a safe footpath out of their village say they are excited to see it finally take shape.
They say the A35 which passes through in Chideock in Dorset is too dangerous for pedestrians wanting to walk the three miles to Bridport.
After years of negotiations and perseverance - and a two year delay due to a gas pipe - the first half of the path is nearing completion.
It is hoped the bridleway and cycle route, which is being built on neighbouring farmland, will be complete by the summer.
