Lost Essex VE Day poem discovered
It was a moment in history celebrated by millions across Great Britain. After nearly six years of bloodshed, Germany had surrendered and in May 1945 war in Europe had finally ended.
During those final months of World War Two, 18-year-old Denis Walter Hart from Billericay was training with the RAF. 75 years later, a poem Denis had written about VE Day was discovered by his family, and his words can now be heard by everyone.
