Walking the 'amazing history' of Essex
From Henry the eighth's first royal palace near Chelmsford to Dick Turpin's secret hideouts in Epping Forest, the county of Essex has many tales from its past. And now an Essex-born storyteller is exploring the county by foot, walking almost 250 miles over 21 days to discover what the 'real' Essex is like.
Supported by the Essex Arts and Cultural Fund, James Lawrence is collecting stories on his travels that celebrate the spirit of Essex.
