Anita Rani returns to her home turf of Bradford to explore the countryside on the edge of the city. Joining local fell runners she discovers this green oasis, away from the smoke and sprawl of the city, that for centuries has attracted visitors seeking space and clean air. A Countryfile special airing on June 1st will highlight Bradford's rural districts.
The Wild Uplands sculpture trail is set in the beautiful Penistone Hill Country Park, Haworth. Four leading artists have created artworks for Bradford 2025 taking inspiration from the natural landscape and the city's industrial heritage.
