Nuns gather in Nottingham to pray for a new Saint
The name, Mary Potter, will be a familiar to many who live in Nottingham.
There’s a tram named after her and a Health and Community Centre in Hyson Green.
Her claim to fame is she founded an Order of Nuns called the Little Company of Mary, who cared for the poor and sick.
Once a year, the religious sisters and their supporters gather at St Barnabas Cathedral, for a special mass where they pray for her to be recognised as a Saint.
