A 'bittersweet' football match honouring murdered teen
Newcastle College held a football match to honour the life of a past student who was murdered. Meg Newton, a keen and talented footballer, was 18 when she was murdered in 2019. Meg's old team mates reunited to play the current Newcastle College girl's team in front of a crowd filled with her family and friends. One of Meg's teachers, Todd Bailey, who organised the match said it was bittersweet.
