"The screams of pain, became the screams of determination"
Aged 8, Michael McCarthy from Weston-under-Redcastle had a near fatal car accident which left him physically and mentally challenged. After spending many months in a coma, he endured hours of painful physiotherapy which eventually led to him being able to walk again. Michael has spent his life overcoming adversity, achieving incredible physical feats and writing popular children's books.
Michael's dad Brian tells ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Shropshire's Richard Tisdale that his mission now is to get 10,000 books to the children of Shropshire.
