Goodge’s run honours late mother
British ultra-endurance athlete William Goodge has set a new Guinness World Record by running across the width of Australia in just 35 days. Starting on April 15 at Cottesloe Beach in Perth and finishing at Sydney’s Bondi Beach, Goodge averaged the equivalent length of around two-and-a-half marathons a day. The 31-year-old from Ampthill in Bedfordshire undertook the challenge in memory of his mother, Amanda, who passed away from cancer in 2018. Photo: EPA
