A ferry service is to resume later this month following work to repair a weather-damaged pontoon.
The Jubilee Pontoon on Saltash Waterside has been closed on health and safety grounds after being damaged during Storm Darragh in December 2024.
Saltash Town Council, which runs the pontoon, said immediate repairs had been necessary to ensure the pontoon's integrity.
The work is due to be completed in time for the return tomorrow of the ferry from Saltash to Royal William Yard, Plymouth.
Saltash Town Council appointed Voyager Boatyard to carry out the repairs to ensure the pontoon would remain "safe, functional, and accessible for many years to come".
Town councillor Julia Peggs said the refurbishment marked an important step in enhancing the town's waterside infrastructure.
The Jubilee Green Pontoon was installed by the former Caradon District Council as part of a Millennium project around 20 years ago to provide all-tides access to Saltash.

A student from Cornwall has been named the winner of the Student Pastry Chef of the Year competition.
Hosted by The Chefs' Forum, the event celebrated the very best in emerging pastry talent, organisers said.
The winner, 16-year-old Phoebe Mortimer, is currently doing a Level Two professional cookery course at Cornwall College in Camborne.
Included in the prizes was a culinary trip to France to visit Andros Pur茅e HQ, and a day's training at PatisFrance HQ with one of their development chefs.
Ms Mortimer said she was passionate about patisserie and when she heard about the competition, she new immediately she should apply.

TRANSLATION
A farmer is nurturing a brood of white stork chicks as part of a charity's aim to reintroduce them in Cornwall.
Yan Swiderski has welcomed eight stork chicks from the adults he keeps in a woodland near Wadebridge as part of work by the Cornwall Stork Project.
Wildlife expert Chris Packham said the project was "exciting" as it was hoped it would recolonise the birds in Cornwall.
He said it is not easy to do because storks tend return to where there were hatched.
However, the storks hatched in Wadebridge will, when released have a yearning to return to the area, and hopefully re-colonise Cornwall.
White storks have been seen flying across Cornwall, as they migrate south. A few of the chicks were fragile and needed specialist care in the nearby Screech Owl Sanctuary.
