Trophy treasure trove
Nuneaton Carnival has been ongoing since the 1930s and has a lot of history behind it. There are positions like 'Carnival Queen' and 'King of Mirth' and many competitions associated with the carnival. Organisers found a number of trophies that reveal some long lost names of the winners of these competitions and are on the hunt to figure out who these people were and uncover some more of the social history of Nuneaton. Andy Sargeant and David Hawley, chairman and treasurer of the Nuneaton Carnival committee, told ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CWR Presenter Lorna Bailey all about their mission.
