Liverpool parade crash: Suspect charged by police
A 53-year-old man has been charged with multiple counts of grievous bodily harm, wounding, and dangerous driving following the shocking incident during the Liverpool FC victory parade.
Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims confirmed that Paul Desmond Sanders Doyle, of West Derby, will appear in court after being charged with seven serious offences.
The incident left 79 people injured, with seven still receiving hospital care. Police continue to gather evidence from CCTV, bodycams, and public submissions, and are urging anyone with information to come forward. The CPS emphasises the importance of avoiding speculation as legal proceedings begin.
