How can the Naze be saved?
From the saltmarshes of Maldon to the oyster beds of Mersea Island, Essex has one of the longest coastlines in England, but within the next decade, a substantial part of the Naze in Walton could be lost to the sea.
The good news is that action is being taken and the Cliffline Project is looking at plans to slow and manage the erosion. Communities near Essex’s threatened Naze peninsula are being invited to an event on June 14th about a major study into building resilience around East Anglia’s fragile coastline.
