UN official: Greta Thunberg flotilla is 'symbolic'
Israeli forces have intercepted a yacht carrying activists and a small quantity of humanitarian aid that was trying to reach the Gaza Strip.
Greta Thunberg, who is aboard the Madleen, says they have been "kidnapped" in a pre-recorded video posted online.
Speaking to Today's Anna Foster, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territory Francesca Albanese says her communication with the boat was cut after Israeli soldiers boarded the boat.
Israel's defence minister says the vessel is on its way to the Israeli port of Ashdod, where the activists will be shown a video of Hamas' 7 October attacks.
Anna also speaks to International Editor Jeremy Bowen.
