‘To know that I can still compete and I can still win, that was massive’

Stephanie Case, known online as @theultrarunnergirl went viral when she won the women’s section of the 100km Ultra-Trail Snowdonia in May, just six months after giving birth.

Despite starting in the last wave of runners and stopping to breastfeed her daughter, Pepper, at aid stations, she finished the race in just under 17 hours.

Stephanie told Nuala McGovern that she hopes her achievement will show other new mums that they don’t have to stop pursuing their interests and dreams after they have children.
