The Shropshire group advising Hollyoaks
A Shropshire charity has been helping the Channel 4 drama highlight child-to-parent abuse. The soap shows what happens when one of the characters becomes resentful of his father and starts to physically abuse him. Shrewsbury based Parental Education Growth Support (PEGS) said it was consulted on the storyline and hoped it would raise awareness of the issue.
The charity's founder Michelle John said she was "proud" to support the show.
She spoke to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Shropshire's Adam Green.
