Why is Elmley Castle preparing for a tourism boom?

In the summer 1575 Elizabeth I spent three days in the village after the local Savage family supported her grandfather, Henry Tudor, in his quest for the throne.

Today bits of the village are named after her - including a street, and a pub - and a special weekend of events will be held to mark 450 years since her visit.
