The lonely seabird is being nursed at Vets For Pets in Hereford, where it initially weight just over half of what an adult female should.

Elliot Goodwin tells Malcolm Boyden how the puffin was found injured near Stoke Lacy, and that it is thought to have got lost, from a colony in Pembrokeshire.

He said they first thought the call was a hoax, with the very real puffin currently being treated with a drip of specialised fish oils, ready to be rehabilitated at a facility somewhere else in the country.
