RFK Jr and the future of vaccines in the US
In early June, US Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr fired all 17-members of a committee that issues official government recommendations on immunisations. The next day he replaced them with 8 allies, many of whom have expressed scepticism about some vaccines.
Their first meeting took place on Wednesday 25th June, and was heavily contentious with members split on the future use of vaccines in the US.
Today's Anna Foster speaks to Dr Fiona Havers, a former member of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who resigned due to RFK Jr's policies, and former ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ correspondent Gabriel Gatehouse.
Listen to Today on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4 and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Sounds: 6-9am on weekdays and 7-9am on Saturdays.
