Animal cruelty cases rise in Leicestershire
Animal cruelty reports in the summer months have risen by a third according to RSPCA figures.
Across Leicestershire the charity say there were 500 cruelty cases between June and August in 2024.
The cost of living, plus the increase in pet ownership during the pandemic, is being blamed.
