Guernsey's first female chief minister
Deputy Lindsay de Sausmarez is Guernsey's first female president of the Policy and Resources Committee (P&R) after receiving 22 out of a potential 40 votes by deputies in a secret ballot.
The deputy also topped the polls on election day with 10,721 votes making her the only candidate who was picked by more than half of the island's voters.
Political reporter, John Fernandez, talks to the deputy about what her plans are in this new role, and how she felt about the victory.
