Worcester's pro paintballers: Olympics-bound?
Professional players of the action-packed sport say it already has international reach, with a European Championships featuring teams from across Europe and America.
Kempsey's Alex Dowson is a former University of Worcester student, and is now GB Paintball's lead strength and condition coach. He tells Felicity Kvesic how the process for recognition will be slow, but that the sport does wonders for teamwork, engagement and mental health.
Jim McGowan, head coach at GB Paintball, says that the West Midlands is a hub of paintballing in the country, and that the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane would be their goal.
