The former Labour leader Lord Kinnock floated it at the weekend - claiming that putting a 2% tax on assets above ten million pounds could bring in up to eleven billion a year.
He said the public is "fed up" with the richest going "unscathed" during the bad times. But opponents say it won't work, describing it as "fantasy politics" that would force wealthy people to leave the UK. Nicky heard from listeners around not just the UK, but the world.
