'Police saved my life after my partner stabbed me'
A woman who was attacked by her partner as he suffered a mental health episode, has thanked the officers who rescued her.
Laura was stabbed seven times after calling 999 to seek help for her partner, before he turned on her.
PC Jack Milman and PC Tom McGrath, who were in the area looking to charge their bodyworn cameras, made it to her home in minutes and were confronted with a scene they described as "horrific".
The officers were announced winners of the Eastern region award at the National Police Federation of England and Wales Police Bravery Awards on Thursday for their actions.
