A12 widening plans are scrapped
Plans to widen the a 15 mile stretch of the A12 between Chelmsford and the A120 at Marks Tey have been cancelled. The Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander says the decision was made because the £1.2 billion project is too expensive, adding the previous government had "no plan to pay for them".
