The 2025 Hills Ford Rally was going to run through the area around Ledbury and Much Marcle. Organisers have laid the blame at the foot of Herefordshire Council.

Trevor Owens hears from Kevin Smith, Chairman of the Cheltenham Motor Club, who runs the rally, which was due to take place in the second week of September.

A statement from Herefordshire Council said: 'We were notified by the event organisers on Sunday (6 July) that they no longer intended to hold their event in the county. The Council had not made a decision on whether to approve the closure of roads for this event as there were a number of outstanding issues which still needed to be addressed by the event organisers. We were unable to make a decision on the road closures until this information had been received for consideration.'
